UPDATE: Twelve Noetic Signature characteristics were revealed through the completion of phase III of the Noetic Signature™ Inventory studies.

Eleven Noetic Signature factors revealed through the completion of phase II of the Noetic Signature Study™. This research is helping us learn more about our IONS Guiding Hypothesis:

All things are interconnected, and that embodying that awareness reveals information and energy not limited by space and time, and can profoundly amplify transformation, innovation, and well-being.

We’d like to share with you what we have discovered so far! People use many different words to describe it, like clairvoyance, telepathy, psychokinesis, precognition, psi, psychic, channeling, extended human capacities, anomalous information reception, etc. We propose that all people can access this “noetic” information and energy — that which is not limited by space and time. However, the way people access and receive this information and energy is unique — we call this the Noetic Signature™.

In Phase II of the three-phase Noetic Signature™ Inventory study exploring this phenomenon, five hundred seven adult participants shared their experiences accessing or expressing noetic information or energy by answering 175 questions. Our Director of Research, Dr. Helané Wahbeh, led the data analysis to discover how the specific items related to each other. This factor analysis resulted in 11 content factors that make up the Noetic Signature™:

Factor 1: Noesis Knowing; Emotional knowing; Embodied Knowing; and Cognitive Knowing or Intuition.
Example: Experiences of receiving noetic information or energy, such as experiencing “gut sensations,” intuitive hits, or other people’s thoughts, emotions, or physical pain.

Factor 2: Impacts Self and Who I Am
Example: The impact of receiving or expressing noetic information or energy on oneself or sense-of-self, such as using noetic information or energy for decision making, self-healing, self-awareness, and introspection.

Factor 3: Embodied Experiences
Example: Experiencing noetic information or energy in the form of physical sensations, such as hot/cold, goose-bumps, smells, visions, taste, sounds, or tingles/vibration/electricity/magnetic in the body.

Factor 4: Inner Voice, Communication with Non-physical Beings
Example: Communication with others (deceased people, other “beings,” channeling, or direct knowing).

Factor 5: Senses Direct Touch
Example: The experience of being physically touched when accessing noetic information or energy.

Factor 6: Visualization/Manifestation
Example: Using imagery or visualization for manifestation.

Factor 7: Healing
Example: Using noetic information or energy to heal others.

Factor 8: Sensations from other people
Example: Receiving physical sensations from other people (e.g., feeling it yourself when someone else’s knee is hurting).

Factor 9: Precognition
Example: Intuition, Premonition/Precognition (e.g., telling the future or knowing something will happen)

Factor 10: Dreams
Example: Receiving noetic information from dreams, lucid dreaming (intentional or unintentional).

Factor 11: Telepathy
Example: Mind-to-mind communication, receiving thoughts from other people (e.g., knowing what someone was thinking).

Stay tuned for the next stage of this exciting project which will be announced in the coming months!
