Creation and large scale replication of mind-photon interference experiments
This Bial and RENSEP-funded study is exploring the quantum observer effect in a custom-made optical diffraction system. Besides attempting to replicate previous results using double-slit optical systems, this experiment included a unique comparison: It compares performance on the mind-photon interaction task between participants who were primarily meditators versus magicians (meaning esoteric practitioners, not tricksters or illusionists). This comparison explores if those with practice in an outwards focus of attention (magicians) perform would better than those with an inwards focus on attention (meditators).
