Rosemary Calderalo, PhD, is the Director of Advancement with IONS. In her role, Dr. Calderalo leads the development team, supporting excellence in donor services and engaging donors, professional advisors, and their clients in philanthropic planning. Previously, she served as the Director of Gift Planning at the Community Foundation in Annapolis, MD, and in leadership positions including the Boys & Girls Club of America, Baltimore Community Foundation, Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake, United Way’s 2-1-1 in the Hudson Valley and the American Red Cross in New York and Connecticut, serving as a national trainer with that organization.
Dr. Calderalo is passionate about helping people find ways to make their dreams for the world come true through the power of their charitable giving. She holds a B.A. in English/Writing Arts from SUNY Oswego, an M.S. in Continuing Studies/Women’s Studies from Mankato State University in MN, and a doctorate in Adult Education and Women’s Studies from Syracuse University. Dr. Calderalo discovered the power of transcendental meditation early in her teens. In addition to her full-time nonprofit work, she has studied the Science, Philosophy, and Religion of Spiritualism since 2006, serving churches and spiritual centers across the country and internationally as well. She is an ordained Spiritualist minister through the National Spiritualist Association of Churches (NSAC) and holds the NSAC credentials of certified medium, commissioned healer, and National Spiritualist Teacher. She is a Reiki Master in the Usui and Karuna traditions. She is also a graduate of the mediumship program at the Inner Spiritual Center in Fairfield, NJ, where she now serves as a tutor.
Dr. Calderalo offers demonstrations of mediumship, teaches classes in spiritual development, mediumship, trance, and healing, and currently volunteers as the International Spiritualist Federation General Secretary.
