Claire Lachance serves as the CEO of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, leading a team of world-renowned scientists and experiential program professionals in Northern California. Prior to joining IONS in 2016, Claire was the founder and president of Inspiration Quest, Inc. where she led the delivery of comprehensive management consulting services to hundreds of nonprofit organizations, foundations, public agencies, and social entrepreneurs. Earlier in her career, Claire held executive positions at Pacific Bell and MetLife. She earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA magna cum laude in Economics from Tufts University.

Panelists

Helen L. Stewart, Ph.D., has served as teaching faculty, academic administrator, and consultant to many individuals and companies in the United States and abroad. She is an author, arbitrator/mediator, community organizer, interpreter in French for the US Department of State, a rural sociologist for the United Nations Development Program in West Africa, public speaker in the U.S., Europe, the Caribbean, and South America, and radio personality in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In 2013 Helen published a book on business applications of intuition entitled Seven Seconds or Less: From Gut Feeling to Bottom Line in Challenging Areas of Business through Balboa Press. That book is based on her intuitive work with individual and corporate clients. She has been a member of IONS and of the Scientific and Medical Network since the 1990s, and also studied and taught various aspects of metaphysics online and in-person for several decades. She is currently working on a book of essays entitled Grits and Granola, including a section she is labeling the “Great American Fears.”

Prasad Kaipa, Ph.D., holds a doctorate in physics from the University of Utah, where his team built an international research laboratory. The co-author of “From Smart to Wise”, Prasad focuses on “igniting the genius within” as well as pursuing “personal mastery” to help others find their next significant step. He integrates business approaches with brain research and spirituality/wisdom models to advise and coach C-level executives at Fortune 500 companies. He is an educator/consultant in the areas of leadership, change management, innovation, and management team development for companies like AT&T, Cisco, HP, Ford, Maersk, and Pepsi. He has been an adviser to the Business FAC of Fetzer Institute. Prasad has offered executive education programs at INSEAD, London Business School, Marshall School of Business, Tuck School of Business, and IIM Bangalore. He is a Clinical Professor and founding Executive Director of the Center for Leadership, Innovation, and Change (CLIC) at the Indian School of Business (ISB).

Nina Fry-Kizler, MA, is Senior Designer of Experiential Programs at IONS. She has worked for years with the Science team at IONS and continues to be a liaison between the Experience and Science departments, infusing cutting-edge research into our experiential programs. As a former professor at John F. Kennedy University in the Holistic Health Education Masters Program for a decade, Nina taught classes on the psychology and physiology of stress, the challenges of change/transformation, energy models of healing, and mind-body medicine. She was trained in the Mind-Body Medicine Professional Training program at the Center for Mind-Body Medicine and as a Birth Doula through Doulas of North America.

PRESENTERS

	Helané Wahbeh, ND, MCR, is the Director of Research at the Institute of Noetic Sciences and an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Wahbeh is clinically trained as a naturopathic physician and research trained with a Master of Clinical Research and two post-doctoral research fellowships. She has published on and spoken internationally about her studies on complementary and alternative medicine, mind-body medicine, extended human capacities, stress, posttraumatic stress disorder and their relationships to physiology, health, and healing. Dr. Wahbeh is especially known for her research around — and noetic approach to — channeling.
	Arnaud Delorme, PhD, is a CNRS principal investigator in Toulouse, France, a faculty member at the University of California, San Diego, and a Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences. He is a long-time Zen meditator and has taught in India on the neural correlates of conscious experience in a Master’s degree program for the Birla Institute of Technology. He is the author of some 160+ peer-reviewed publications and is best known for developing the EEG software that is now the most used in EEG research worldwide.
	Dean Radin, MS, PhD, is Chief Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences and Associated Distinguished Professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Before joining the research staff at IONS in 2001, he held appointments at AT&T Bell Labs, Princeton University, University of Edinburgh, and SRI International. Dr. Radin is author or coauthor of hundreds of technical articles, some 125 peer-reviewed journal articles, four dozen book chapters, and four best-selling, popular books. He has given over 600 invited presentations and interviews for government, military, business, scientific, and other groups around the world.
	Garret Yount, PhD, is a Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences. Dr. Yount’s primary interest is bridging molecular neurobiology with aspects of consciousness and the nonmaterial mind. He began his formal studies in consciousness research with a small grant from the Institute of Noetic Sciences in 1995, which allowed him to work with biofield practitioners and spiritual healers in the laboratory. Dr. Yount was among the first scientists to be awarded a Research Project Grant (R01) from the National Institutes of Health to study energy healing. He has spoken nationally and co-authored peer-reviewed papers on the topic of establishing rigorous guidelines for research into biofields and micro-psychokinesis.

Physical mediumship refers to special type of mediumship that results in apparent physical manifestations such as lights, full or partial materializations, dematerialization, and direct voice phenomena. Historically, physical mediumship received great attention from parapsychology researchers in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, but minimal rigorous research occurred in the last 50 years.

Thanks to the generous support of the Marco Project Endowment Fund, IONS hosted a workgroup on physical mediumship with experts from around the world. The group discussed the state of the science and developed a research program to revitalize this often sidelined research topic. Join IONS Director of Research, Dr. Helané Wahbeh, and her two panelists, Debra Lynn Katz and Ramsés D’León, as they discuss physical mediumship, the results of the workgroup, and their vision for the future of physical mediumship research.

HOST

Helané Wahbeh, ND, MCR, is the Director of Research at the Institute of Noetic Sciences and an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Oregon Health & Science University. She completed her undergraduate degree at University of California Berkeley in Anthropology and Pre-Medicine. She obtained her clinical doctorate at the National University of Natural Medicine. She obtained her Master of Clinical Research from Oregon Health & Science University where she has been on faculty in the department of neurology since 2006. She also completed two post-doctoral research fellowships.

Debra Lynne Katz has a Ph.D. in Psychology and holds a Masters’s Degree in Social Work. She has been deeply involved in conducting formal experimental research in remote viewing. She is currently the President of the International Remote Viewing Association and co-director of the IRVA research unit, International School of Clairvoyance (www.debrakatz.com), and a member of several parapsychological organizations as well. She has authored books, including Associative Remote Viewing: The Art & Science of Predicting Outcomes for sports, financials, elections, and the lottery” (2021); “The Complete Clairvoyant; A Trilogy” (2020); “You Are Psychic: The Art of Clairvoyant Reading and Healing” (2004); “Extraordinary Psychic: Proven Techniques to Master Your Natural Abilities” (2009); and “Freeing the Genie Within” (2009). Debra is an accomplished remote viewer and clairvoyant practitioner herself (with mental mediumship being an important aspect but not the main focus to date) and an eternal student of the intuitive and healing arts. She’s a former Federal Probation Officer, legal victims advocate, and TV show host.

Ramsés D’León is a researcher and educator in the field of Parapsychology. His principal interests are in the area are psychokinesis and physiological anticipation. He is also engaged in reaching the field to students and researchers in other disciplines. He is certified by the Parapsychology Foundation in “Parapsychology and Anomalistic Psychology: Research and Education.” He is the Office Manager and Mexico’s International Liaison of the Parapsychological Association and organizes is Psi Agora, at its monthly member’s only event. He is also the recipient of the Parapsychological Foundation “Lisette Coly Award” and was featured as “Next Generation” researcher in the Mindfield Bulletin.

In this experiential presentation, Dr. Sapiro bridges science, psychology, and spirituality as he explores and explains how Ketamine can be used as a tool to bring mysticism to the public, and into the medical and healing fields. Ketamine therapy works on three levels: physiological, psychological, and spiritual and you will have a chance to participate in a meditation that brings all three domains into focus. For Dr. Sapiro, this is our nature and our work: to know we are that which is beyond time and space, the formless loving Source from which all arises and returns, is the ultimate lesson of this medicine. He believes we are both the Mystery itself and the conditions that arise within it; that we are both the Universe, and a very unique, personalized expression of the Universe learning about Itself while living through us.

Michael Sapiro, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist, psychedelic-assisted therapist, transformational coach, writer, meditation teacher and researcher, and former Buddhist monk. He is MAPS trained, is on faculty at Esalen Institute, is a Fellow at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, and is core faculty in the Psychedelic’s Today Vital psychedelic certification program. He recently completed a study on time travel, hope, and love with Dr. Julia Mossbridge of The Institute for Love and Time. Dr. Sapiro teaches nationally on the art and science of transformation, expanded human capabilities, and futuremaking. He is the integrative psychologist at the Boise Ketamine Clinic where he offers Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (individual KAP and group KAT) sessions, and is an integrative coach and consultant with VETS Solutions, Seal Future Foundation, and Sabot Foundation, helping former Navy Seals and other special operations team members recover from combat exposure with psychedelic-assisted therapy. He also works therapeutically with first responders (police, SWAT, and Fire). In this book, Christopher tells the story of his 20-year journey with LSD – 73 high dose sessions conducted between 1979-1999 following Stanislav Grof’s protocol. Trained as a philosopher of religion, this journey became the philosophical adventure of his lifetime. He spent years digesting his experiences, pondering their implications, and trying to integrate the truths he was shown. Christopher M. Bache, Ph.D. is professor emeritus in the department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Youngstown State University where he taught for 33 years. He is also adjunct faculty at the California Institute of Integral Studies, Emeritus Fellow at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, and on the Advisory Council of Grof Legacy Training. Chris’ passion has been the study of the philosophical implications of nonordinary states of consciousness, particularly psychedelic states. An award winning teacher and international speaker, Chris has written four books: Lifecycles – a study of reincarnation in light of contemporary consciousness research; Dark Night, Early Dawn – a pioneering work in psychedelic philosophy and collective consciousness; The Living Classroom, an exploration of collective fields of consciousness in teaching; and LSD and the Mind of the Universe, the story of his 20 year journey with LSD.
