Join us on February 5, 2021 from 11:00am until 12:30pm PST for a very special event honoring the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 14 Mission to the Moon — the event that sparked a life-changing epiphany for Captain Edgar Mitchell and inspired his founding of the Institute of Noetic Sciences.
The event will feature thought leaders, scientists, and IONS leaders who will reflect on the profound legacy of Edgar’s epiphany and how it continues today — driving an expansion of consciousness around the world.
MODERATORS / CURATORS
Claudia Welss is a citizen scientist and Chairman of the IONS Board of Directors and the board Science Committee. She’s also on the boards of Space For Humanity and HeartMath Institute’s Global Coherence Initiative/Global Consciousness Project. At NEXUS Global, Claudia bridges practical consciousness research with innovations in philanthropy, impact investing, activism, and social entrepreneurship, and is helping form a new Space for All/UNSDG initiative for democratizing access to space.
Claire Lachance serves as the CEO of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, where she has championed strategic clarity, healthy culture, and operations grounded in integrity and best practices. Claire earned her MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA magna cum laude in Economics from Tufts University. Representing IONS around the world, Claire is passionate about the expansion of Noetic Leadership as a vital tool for addressing the profound opportunities and challenges of our times.
SPEAKERS
Kimberly Mitchell is the daughter of Dr. Edgar Mitchell, lunar module pilot for Apollo 14 and the sixth human to walk on the moon. Kimberly has had a well-rounded career that includes working as a governmental affairs professional in Tallahassee where she specialized in local and state representation – and managed local, state, and national campaigns. She is currently the Executive Director of The Everglades Trust in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Loretta Hidalgo Whitesides is on a mission, a Space mission. She is the author of The New Right Stuff: Using Space to Bring Out the Best in You, co-founder of global Space party Yuri’s Night, Founder Astronaut with Virgin Galactic, and creator of SpaceKind leadership training. Loretta is an electric speaker and leadership trainer whose experience-based insight and passion for Space, the Overview Effect, and human potential has transformed meetings, conferences, and special events around the world for two decades. Loretta Whitesides is going to Space, and she wants you and me to go, too.
Guy Reid is a filmmaker, writer and founder of Planetary Collective and Constellation Foundation. He has spent the past decade creating films which highlight the work of astronauts, scientists, futurists, and thinkers; exploring stories of who we are as a species and how we fit in our world. Under the Planetary Collective banner Guy writes and directs films such as the award winning ‘Overview’ and ‘Planetary’ that delve into the understanding of our interconnectedness with each other, our biosphere, and the Earth itself.
Dean Radin, PhD, is Chief Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences and Associated Distinguished Professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Before joining IONS in 2001, he held appointments at AT&T Bell Labs, Princeton University, University of Edinburgh, and SRI International. Dr. Radin is author or coauthor of hundreds of technical, popular, and peer-reviewed journal articles, four dozen book chapters, and four best-selling books. He has given presentations and interviews for government, military, business, scientific, and popular groups around the world.
Helané Wahbeh, ND, MCR is the Director of Research at the Institute of Noetic Sciences and an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Wahbeh is clinically trained as a naturopathic physician and research trained with a Master of Clinical Research and two post-doctoral research fellowships. She has published on and spoken internationally about her studies on complementary and alternative medicine, mind-body medicine, stress, and post-traumatic stress disorder and their relationships to physiology, health, and healing.
Arnaud Delorme, PhD, is a CNRS principal investigator in Toulouse, France, a faculty member at the University of California, San Diego, and a research scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences. He is a long-term Zen meditator, and has taught in India on the neural correlates of conscious experience in a Master’s degree program for the Birla Institute of Technology.
