After more than a century of scientific exploration, we now have compelling evidence that our entire Universe is nonlocally interconnected.
Since the pioneers of quantum theory realized that a key theoretical prediction was the phenomenon of nonlocality; an innate interconnectedness in the foundations of reality that transcends the limits of space and time, debate has continued as to what this really means. In general, the mainstream scientific view has been that such nonlocality was only exhibited at minute quantum scales and under specific circumstances of particle entanglement.
Crucially, the simultaneous correlations between particles that such nonlocal entanglement incurs, don’t allow any information to be passed between them within space-time that would travel faster than the speed of light, which would otherwise violate the universal ‘arrow’ of time and event causality.
Only from the 1980s onwards has such nonlocality been able to be tested and validated experimentally. Since then, laboratory experiments have progressively increased the scale for such nonlocal entanglement to far larger than the quantum level; currently to the sizes of organic molecules and even small diamonds.
In 2018, though, a team at MIT went further, MUCH further. They were, astonishingly, able to nonlocally entangle photons of light in their laboratory with starlight from 600 light years away and with the entanglement triggered by light from two vastly more distant quasars 7.8 and 12.2 billion light years away – so with light having left that further quasar 12.2 billion years ago!
Investigating nonlocal noetic phenomena, such as telepathy, precognition, and remote viewing, is foundational to IONS scientific research. Termed by Chief Scientist Dean Radin as supernormal, such phenomena need to be explained within a scientific framework if we’re able to logically position them within our understanding of reality and ascertain how they occur.
So, whilst the MIT team’s achievement in demonstrating universal nonlocality is a great step forward, an emergent theoretical framework that contextualizes their findings and those of IONS and is supported by scientific evidence at all scales of existence and across numerous fields of research is required.
Excitingly and significantly, such a wholistic framework, based on recent theoretical insights and discoveries, is indeed emerging.
Whilst founded in quantum and relativistic physics, which describe the appearance of energy-matter and space-time, it views these and the appearance of our Universe in its totality, as emergent phenomena of more fundamental non-physical and causative realms of cosmic intelligence and unified reality. Increasing understanding and discoveries of the intrinsic role of information and the so-called holographic principle, are enabling the cosmological framework of this wholeworld-view to be developed.
The primacy of mind and consciousness, as espoused by Max Planck, Albert Einstein, John Archibald Wheeler, David Bohm, and other pioneering scientists, is being revealed as being fundamental to the nature of reality. Ever increasing evidence is showing that cosmic mind, articulated as digitized information and represented as dynamic and relational patterns and processes of, crucially, meaningful in-formation, literally in-forms the formation of our Universe – as a ‘great thought,’ to paraphrase the eminent scientist Sir James Jeans.
An experiment led by Antoine Bérut and Eric Lutz reported in 2012, and others since, have demonstrated the innately physical nature of information by showing that deleting one digitized bit releases actual physical heat, and is in line with theoretical predictions.
Increasingly convincing evidence is showing that such digitized information, the basis for all our technologies, is exactly the same as universal information, also articulated as digitized bits of ones and zeros, that underpins and makes up all physical reality.
In addition, cosmologists are coming to recognize that our Universe is manifested holographically. This holographic principle posits that digitized information pixelated at the minute Planck scale area of the 2D holographic boundary/brane of space-time projects its emergent appearance.
Meaningful in-formation, enshrined in the laws of physics and expressed as all forms of energy-matter and space-time in complementary ways, then enable our Universe to respectively exist and evolve. And, with universal nonlocality facilitated by the holographic principle, to do so as a unified entity
The mathematical signature and relational patterns of this new comprehension are being revealed from cosmology, physics and chemistry, to biology and complex systems. Their self-similar patterns, known as fractals, occur at enormously differing scales of existence. Extending from individual atoms to vast, galactic clusters, they’re all-pervasive throughout the in-formational appearance of our Universe. And the first direct cosmological evidence of their patterning was seen in 2017 in the so-called Cosmic Microwave Background, the relic radiation from the earliest epoch of our Universe and which fills all of space.
Crucially, such relationships are being uncovered not only throughout the ‘natural’ world but are also reflected in our collective human behaviors. For example, the in-formational inter-play of internet traffic, website links and data routes, all embody the same fractal patterns, as do biological ecosystems.
Discoveries are showing that our Universe was so exquisitely ordered and fine-tuned from its beginning, not in the implied chaos of a big bang but more as the first moment of an ongoing big breath, that it embodies an inherent evolutionary impulse from simplicity to complexity and ever greater self-awareness – it exists to evolve. And as microcosmic co-creators, we are part of its evolutionary impulse and share a vital purpose at this pivotal moment for ourselves and for our planetary home.
This wholeworld-view offers a natural and inclusive framework for the validation of all supernormal phenomena, from synchronicities and intuitive insights to the power of intention, telepathy, remote viewing, and precognition. It’s revealing that mind and consciousness aren’t what we have but what we and the whole world are. And it’s turning out that supernormal is the most normal thing in the whole world.
