Beyond the Body: Why the Limitless You Is Real

Robert Monroe, a true pioneer in consciousness exploration, famously said, “The greatest illusion is that mankind has any limitations.”

That statement has such profound implications. Most of us live our lives defined by limits. We are limited by time, by the energy we have left at the end of the day, by the laws of physics, and by the stories we hear in school, at home, and in our community about who we are and what is humanly possible. These stories invariably tell us about our limitations under the heading of “being realistic”. But what if those limits are simply untested beliefs? What if the only true barrier to expanding our potential is the belief that we cannot?

To be clear, Monroe wasn’t saying we can fly by jumping off a building because we “believe” it. He was suggesting that we have not found the extent of what consciousness can do, because we stop exploring the moment we hit a societal norm.

Bob Monroe felt strongly about no dogma associated with his work. He did ask that explorers, however, consider the following: “I am more than my physical body.” He then provided the experience and the tools (that we’ll be using in the upcoming workshop) so they could find out for themselves. He didn’t want them to just talk about altered states; he wanted them to go there. He wanted them to go find their own answers. He wanted them to turn their unknowns into KNOWNS.

Mapping the non-physical

After many years of research, much of his own time and a group of dedicated early explorers, Monroe created a “freedom path” made up of what he called Focus Levels. Freedom from what you might ask? Freedom from the fears and limiting beliefs we all have, especially about the unknown.

Explorer reported possible benefits

So why leave the familiarity of waking life? Why step out of our comfort zone to explore the unknown, the non-physical?

1. You can realize you are the architect of your experiences.

When you step outside ordinary waking consciousness, the relationship between thought and reality becomes apparent. In the non-physical realms, manifestation is not only possible but it can sometimes happen quickly. You begin to see how your focus creates your environment. Bringing that realization to your physical life is a game-changer. You stop being just an observer of your life and start becoming its active creator. You begin to live with intention and on purpose.

2. You may have more access to guidance.

Altered states allow you access to parts of yourself that are usually drowned out by the noise of daily life. You begin hearing the still small voice within. Many explorers find they can access a level of guidance that simply isn’t available in their normal waking state. They also begin to understand their own unique way guidance communicates with them. It’s a way to tap into experiential wisdom, to solve practical problems, increase creativity, and understand your own path.

3. Non-physical realms seem to provide a kind of workshop for the mind.

Have you ever had to work within a budget to get a project off the ground, complete an invention, or bring a product to market? The aforementioned require time, money and physical resources. Many consider non-physical realms as purely spiritual—places to meet guides or experience the mystical. But for the Limitless You, these states are thought-responsive to the point where an author can step inside their book, interact with their characters to formulate a surprise ending, engineers can move to a point in the future, where their invention has successfully come to market and see what needs to be improved in its current form to make that happen. The non-physical is the ultmate experimental mind laboratory. The only limit is your imagination!

4. An undeniable shift may begin to happen

The fear of death is universal and primal, yet when you experience existence independent of your physical body, the fear of death may begin to slowly dissipate. Losing your fear of death can help you stop being afraid of life. You become more free, more of who you truly are.

Walking the territory

We have covered the “Why.” We’ve looked at the loss of fear, the surge in creativity, the access to higher guidance. These aren’t just philosophical concepts or stories reserved for mystics. They are the birthright of every consciousness, including yours.

But reading about it is one thing, experiencing it is another. You can read a thousand descriptions of the ocean, but they will never equal the feeling of the salt water on your skin.

If you are ready to move from intellectual curiosity to personal experience, I invite you to join Exploring The Realms of Consciousness, a 3-week online workshop designed to help you investigate the fundamental nature of your consciousness.

This program will provide you with the tools and the map to navigate the big, wide non-physical universe, to step beyond the physical and discover just how vast, how “Limitless” you truly are.
