Navigating the landscape of your own consciousness can be one of life’s most profound adventures. But without a compass, it is easy to feel adrift. In this illuminating webinar, Monroe Institute trainer Carol Joyce shares a specific, navigable map of these inner territories—originally charted by pioneer Robert Monroe. By understanding the distinct “Focus Levels” of consciousness, from deep relaxation to expanded intuition and timelessness, you gain a powerful framework to interpret your own experiences, turning vague mystical sensations into familiar, navigable terrain.

This session is an invitation to turn the unknown into the known. Carol will share insights into the foundational dimensions of Focus 10, 12, and 15—specific states of awareness identified in Monroe’s pioneering work—demonstrating how this structured geography enables you to bypass the analytical mind and access inner wisdom with intention. This overview will provide immediate insights for your own practice and also set the context for the in-depth experimentation offered in our upcoming workshop. To ground this theory in experience, the session includes a brief sample of the Hemi-Sync® audio technology, offering you a direct, personal taste of what it feels like to step beyond the physical.

Please Review How to Prepare for the Webinar Audio Experience:

To fully experience the Hemi-Sync® technology during this webinar, high-quality stereo sound is essential. This audio process relies on sending different frequencies to each ear to facilitate expanded states of awareness.

Please review the following setup instructions prior to joining:

  1. Wear Headphones: This is crucial. Using computer speakers will not provide the stereo separation required for the technology to work effectively. We recommend a good wired headset, no Bluetooth, and no noise canceling except BOSE.
  2. Use the Zoom Desktop Client: Mobile devices (phones/tablets) often compress audio or force mono output. We strongly recommend joining via a computer using the installed Zoom application.
  3. Adjust Your Settings: For the best experience, please configure your Zoom audio settings as follows:
    • Go to Settings > Audio.
    • Under Audio Profile, select Original sound for musicians.
    • Check the Stereo audio box.
    • Ensure high-fidelity music mode is checked (if available).

These settings ensure you receive the high-quality audio exactly as intended.

A Note on the Replay

Please be aware that Zoom cloud recordings capture audio in mono only. Because Hemi-Sync® relies on distinct stereo separation to function, the audio technology will not be effective in the video replay. While the interview and insights will be valuable in the recording, we highly encourage you to join us live to participate in the experiential segment.

Cautions and Disclaimer

DO NOT listen to Hemi-Sync® while driving or operating heavy equipment, or with other devices that may influence brain-wave activity. If you have a tendency towards seizures, auditory disorders, or adverse mental condition(s), DO NOT listen to Hemi-Sync® without first consulting your physician. In the unlikely event that you experience any unusual physical or mental discomfort, immediately discontinue use.
