ConnectIONS Live!
Join us for a special ConnectIONS Live in honor of Giving Tuesday — a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.
For the first time in ConnectIONS Live history, the entire Science Team is coming together! This unique webinar, featuring all IONS scientists, ignites our crucial year-end giving campaign, Illuminate Our Interconnection.
Bringing Noetic Sciences Into the Light
TUESDAY, November 30, 2021
11:00 am – 12:30pm (PST)
(please note this special webinar takes place on Tuesday rather than our standard Friday time slot)
Please register even if you can’t attend live and you’ll receive an email with a link to the recording.
Join CEO Claire Lachance as each of our esteemed researchers takes the stage to share the latest on one of their significant projects. Focusing on the paradigm-changing consciousness research that IONS is known for, you’ll hear from our experts in physics, clinical research, neuroscience, EEG, computer science and engineering, and molecular biology.
Together we will explore our groundbreaking current research, directions for future endeavors, and the potential this work has to evolve the materialist paradigm to reflect the true nature of consciousness and reality.
HOST
Claire Lachance serves as the CEO of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, leading a team of world-renowned scientists and experiential program professionals in Northern California. Prior to joining IONS in 2016, Claire was founder and president of Inspiration Quest, Inc. where she led the delivery of comprehensive management consulting services to hundreds of nonprofit organizations, foundations, public agencies, and social entrepreneurs. Earlier in her career, Claire held executive positions at Pacific Bell and MetLife. She earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA magna cum laude in Economics from Tufts University.
PRESENTERS
Helané Wahbeh, ND, MCR, is the Director of Research at the Institute of Noetic Sciences and an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Wahbeh is clinically trained as a naturopathic physician and research trained with a Master of Clinical Research and two post-doctoral research fellowships. She has published on and spoken internationally about her studies on complementary and alternative medicine, mind-body medicine, extended human capacities, stress, posttraumatic stress disorder and their relationships to physiology, health, and healing. Dr. Wahbeh is especially known for her research around — and noetic approach to — channeling.
Dean Radin, MS, PhD, is Chief Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences and Associated Distinguished Professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Before joining the research staff at IONS in 2001, he held appointments at AT&T Bell Labs, Princeton University, University of Edinburgh, and SRI International. Dr. Radin is author or coauthor of hundreds of technical articles, some 125 peer-reviewed journal articles, four dozen book chapters, and four best-selling, popular books. He has given over 600 invited presentations and interviews for government, military, business, scientific, and other groups around the world.
Garret Yount, PhD, is a Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences. Dr. Yount’s primary interest is bridging molecular neurobiology with aspects of consciousness and the nonmaterial mind. He began his formal studies in consciousness research with a small grant from the Institute of Noetic Sciences in 1995, which allowed him to work with biofield practitioners and spiritual healers in the laboratory. Dr. Yount was among the first scientists to be awarded a Research Project Grant (R01) from the National Institutes of Health to study energy healing. He has spoken nationally and co-authored peer-reviewed papers on the topic of establishing rigorous guidelines for research into biofields and micro-psychokinesis.
Loren Carpenter revolutionized the entire film industry through inventing rendering and modeling algorithms for image synthesis and visual effects. In 2001, he and two colleagues were awarded the only Oscar statuettes ever given for computer science. In 2014, he transitioned from his position as Senior Research Scientist in Disney/Pixar’s research division to that of a Scientist at IONS. At IONS, he is involved primarily with experiment design and construction, using his extensive fabrication, computer and electronics skills. His contributions include new instruments for recording and analyzing quantum background noise and instruments for sensing and amplifying mind-photon interaction.
Arnaud Delorme, PhD, is a CNRS principal investigator in Toulouse, France, a faculty member at the University of California, San Diego, and a Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences. He is a long-time Zen meditator, and has taught in India on the neural correlates of conscious experience in a Master’s degree program for the Birla Institute of Technology. He is the author of some 160+ peer-reviewed publications, and is best known for developing the EEG software that is now the most-used in EEG research worldwide.
