These unprecedented times have presented us all with extraordinary challenges — and opportunities. The world as we know it has been up-ended, requiring us to rapidly innovate new ways of living, working, and being in community with each other.

What has emerged for us at IONS, even more strongly than before, is a resilience anchored in a profound reinforcement of the significance of our mission to the world: revealing the interconnected nature of reality through scientific exploration and personal discovery. The global crisis has awakened many questions, and a longing in explorers of consciousness to connect with IONS in deeper ways.

Expanded Access to Noetic Wisdom for All

IONS response to this crisis has been swift and focused: we dramatically expanded access to noetic wisdom at a time when the world needs this information and inspiration most. Within days of the shelter-in-place orders we launched a free series of programs featuring noetic approaches to health and wellbeing, economics and prosperity, collective purpose, and leadership. The response has been resounding, with many thousands of people participating — nearly 25% of them newcomers to IONS!

Research Breakthroughs Continue

During the pandemic we have maintained 100% continuity of vital, leading-edge research programs in the noetic sciences:

  • Finalized the pilot phase of the IONS Discovery Lab (IDL) initiative, with 1,800 participants revealing the intersection of interconnectedness, extended human capacities, and well-being.
  • Completed Phase 2 of the Exceptional Healers Study, informing the field of energy medicine and yielding six publications to be featured in a special issue of Explore journal.
  • Conducted the foundational research for our groundbreaking Noetic SignatureTM model, illuminating how we each access information and energy not limited by space or time.

Support Our Essential Programs Now!

While our Science and Experiential Programs are continuing full steam, our EarthRise Retreat Center has been forced to temporarily close, resulting in over $1 million in lost revenue. We have made the difficult choice to reduce staff and other expenses throughout the organization, wherever possible.
