ConnectIONS Live!
What if one of humanity’s oldest companions is also one of its most overlooked technologies? For millennia, music has accompanied our rituals, celebrations, initiations, healing practices, and significant life transitions. Yet modern culture has largely relegated music to the domains of entertainment, relaxation, and personal preference. What if its deeper value has been hiding in plain sight?
In this experiential presentation, Emmy Award-winning composer, producer, and consciousness innovator Gary Malkin invites participants to explore music as a powerful catalyst for human coherence—the alignment of mind, heart, body, and relationship. Drawing from four decades of work at the intersection of music, healthcare, contemplative practice, emotional well-being, and transformational media, Gary demonstrates how carefully designed musical experiences can influence attention, emotional regulation, presence, empathy, and connection.
Through immersive demonstrations, reflective inquiry, and practical examples spanning birth, caregiving, grief, resilience, and community-building, participants will investigate a compelling possibility: that music may be far more than an art form—it may be an essential resource for cultivating the emotional maturity, relational capacity, and inner coherence needed to navigate an increasingly complex world.
