Life is constantly evolving and human beings are part of it. Within this constant evolution we are always called to transformation. This transformation occurs by transcending current levels of consciousness. To achieve this, knowledge, discernment and self-exploration have become fundamental tools. These are creative ways to use awareness. We are conscious beings.
The Festival of Consciousness (FoC) has as its fundamental purpose: to participate in the natural process of human evolution, promoting its transformation, promoting knowledge, discernment and self-exploration.
Theme for 2025: I AM NOT WHAT I AM
When Iago in Shakespeare’s Othello declares “I am not what I am,” he unveils a paradox that resonates deeply with our identity: what we are in essence may not match what we appear to be or believe ourselves to be. This statement invites us to question the limits of the self, our identity, and reality itself. What if what we believe ourselves to be, and how we perceive our existence, is only a limited fraction of something much vaster?
I AM NOT WHAT I AM calls us to engage in an introspective and exploratory exercise: to broaden our perspective, challenge the boundaries of what we consider real, open doors, and extend our horizons… It invites us to venture into discovering a self that transcends the filters of this immediate reality. A timeless and non-spatial SELF. An exercise of de-identification, expansion, and discovery that leads us to ask: What are we, if we are not what we believe ourselves to be?
