From Materialism to Mysticism: A Psychiatrist’s Psychic Odyssey

Michael Krieger was meandering through his ordinary life as a psychiatrist at a VA hospital mental health clinic when, nearly ten years ago, at the age of 55, he began having extraordinary experiences that upended his worldview. Nearly every one of these experiences took place when he spontaneously lapsed into an altered state. This led him on a quest to understand the nature of consciousness and altered states.

In this webinar, Dr Krieger will present some of the anomalous experiences that he encountered including spontaneous mediumship, visions of past lives, visions of his own future, precognitive dreams, presentiment, telepathy, and more. In sharing his personal experiences, he will attempt to explain how his own brand of psychopathology may have protected him from becoming overly traumatised by the ontological shock that would otherwise have ensued.
