ConnectIONS Live!
Join Helané Wahbeh, ND, MCR, Director of Research at IONS, independent researcher Siri Zemel, PhD, and spiritual medium Austyn Wells for a thoughtful exploration of the development of ethical standards for English-speaking mediums and trance channelers.
The presenters will share the collaborative research process behind creating a Code of Ethics designed to honor integrity, respect, and care in this delicate work. The session will feature insights from their scientific and personal journeys, and the conversation will also include an invited practicing medium/channeler to join the discussion about the responsibilities and challenges inherent in ethical mediumship and channeling. This dialogue bridges noetic science and spiritual practice, offering a deeper understanding of how ethics shape this evolving field.
This free webinar welcomes all who are curious about the evolving landscape of consciousness, ethics, and the heart of channeling practice.

Dr. Wahbeh is clinically trained as a naturopathic physician and research trained with a Master of Clinical Research and two post-doctoral research fellowships. Dr. Wahbeh is especially known for her research around — and noetic approach to — channeling.
Dr. Siri Zemel is an independent researcher and author who collaborates with the Institute of Noetic Sciences to advance ethics in mediumship and channeling. In 2017, she earned her doctorate in Mind Body Medicine at Saybrook University. Prior to that, she completed her undergraduate and then graduate degree in Nutrition Science with a concentration in Counseling Psychology from the University of Tennessee. She practiced as a registered dietitian and then served as a behavioral and integrative healthcare executive and consultant for two decades before coming out as a spiritual medium. In 2023, Dr. Zemel published her personal story in the Amazon best-selling book, “Guided: Journey into the Unknown to Awaken the Soul and Live in Truth”. “Guided” is a chronicle of mystical-psychic phenomena, in which Dr. Zemel shares a paradoxical journey full of debate and struggle, courageously revealing a sacred passage from fragmentation to wholeness, from hiding to being seen, and from fear to love. Dr. Zemel lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
Austyn Wells is an author, spiritual medium, and soul gardener who mentors spiritually seeking individuals to cultivate their intuition, heal their hearts, and connect with the Divine. She has presented for organizations such as the Omega Institute, Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. in Virginia Beach, The Sun Valley Wellness Festival, as well as the Afterlife Conference, for which she was a board member for eight years.
