How can inquiry into our beliefs about death and consciousness transform how we live and relate to loss?
Death is universal, yet rarely examined in our culture. This Global Gathering invites IONS members to explore what may survive death and how these beliefs shape consciousness, grief, and the way we live. Drawing on Steven Ferrara’s ConnectIONS Live on February 20th, Grief to Gratitude, and IONS research on mediumship and anomalous experiences, we will examine perceptions about death, continuing bonds, ongoing relationships with the deceased, and expanded perspectives on life.
You don’t need to have attended the ConnectIONS Live event to engage fully here. We’ll offer a brief overview before we go into discussion groups and reflect on how inquiry into death can deepen meaning, connection, and purpose in daily living.
The Global Gatherings Structure
Our Global Gatherings feature a formal program (60 min) of context setting and discussion, and a bonus 30 minutes at the end of the program for those who would like to stay on Zoom to continue the conversation with each other. Global Gatherings are lively and safe spaces for our members to share personal insight. To protect personal privacy and to provide a safe and comfortable space to share, the session will not be recorded.
