Why Now?
Interest in telepathy is at an all-time high. The recent hit podcast, The Telepathy Tapes, has sparked global curiosity and discussion about the reality of mind-to-mind communication. IONS is at the forefront of this conversation (you may have heard our chief scientist Dean Radin in Episode 6). In a ConnectIONS Live webinar, Director of Research Dr. Helané Wahbeh interviewed Dr. Diane Hennecy Powell about her groundbreaking research with nonverbal autistic children from the hit podcast. Dr. Wahbeh also discussed the history of telepathy research.
IONS is thrilled to be featured in the upcoming documentary, based on the podcast, exploring the science behind telepathy. This is a pivotal moment in history to deepen our understanding of this extraordinary ability, and your participation can help shape the future of telepathic research and our understanding of human consciousness.
What We’re Studying
Our research aims to explore the nature of telepathic communication, particularly between emotionally bonded pairs of people. We are selecting 100 pairs to take part in future neuroscience studies designed to investigate how telepathy works. This is a chance to contribute to cutting-edge scientific research into the mysteries of consciousness and human connection.
Who Can Participate?
We’re looking for pairs who:
- Are over the age of 18
- Are emotionally bonded (such as close friends, partners, or family members)
- Can read and write fluent English
- Have secure internet access and are comfortable with online tasks
- Have experienced at least two confirmed telepathic events that both members can verify
What’s Involved
Participation is simple and takes place entirely online. Here’s what to expect:
Phase 1: A 10-minute survey about your relationship and past telepathic experiences.
Phase 2 (if selected): A 20-minute follow-up survey, completed separately by each participant.
Phase 3 (if selected): A final set of surveys and online tasks, taking about 20 minutes.
Phase 4 (if selected): A 30-minute online task conducted via Zoom to test if you and your partner can sense if one of you is thinking about the other.
All responses are confidential, and no identifying information will be shared in published results.
