Singer’s teachings to your personal experiences, allowing you to dive into the teachings and make them a part of your daily life.

You’ll also discover practices to help you gain distance from your noisy mind, tap into the deeper awareness that is your true essence, and work through the negative emotions that limit your potential. Grounded in traditions of meditation and mindfulness, the new exercises in this transformational journal will show you how to live more fully in the present moment, and achieve lasting joy and self-realization.

If you’re ready to open the door to limitless possibilities, The Untethered Soul Guided Journal will lead you to a richer understanding of your relationship to your mind, emotions, and inner energies. And by letting go of difficult past experiences you’ve held within yourself, you’ll learn to access the profound happiness of your true, innermost Self.

Below are three days of journal prompts from the book to get you started!

Day 1 Journal Prompt

In case you haven’t noticed, you have a mental dialogue going on inside your head that never stops. It just keeps going and going. Have you ever wondered why it talks in there? How does it decide what to say and when to say it? How much of what it says turns out to be true? How much of what it says is even important? And if right now you are hearing, “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t have any voice inside my head!” — that’s the voice we’re talking about. Begin the practice of noticing your thoughts. You are not your thoughts — they are something you’re aware of. When you close your eyes and listen within, what thoughts do you hear? What is it like to be aware that your mind is talking?

Day 2 Journal Prompt

The best way to free yourself from this incessant chatter is to step back and view it objectively. Just view the voice as a vocalizing mechanism that is capable of making it appear like someone is in there talking to you. Don’t think about it; just notice it. No matter what the voice is saying, it’s all the same. It doesn’t matter if it’s saying nice things or mean things, worldly things or spiritual things. It doesn’t matter because it’s still just a voice talking inside your head. Close your eyes and say in your mind something that you know is not true, like “My dog is blue.” Notice that your mind had no problem saying it. You may not realize it, but your inner voice often says things that aren’t true. The mind can (and will) say anything, and it’s our responsibility not to believe everything it says. Write about a time when the voice told you something that turned out not to be true. Can you see that the voice is separate from you and can say anything?

Day 3 Journal Prompt

You do hear it when it talks, don’t you? Make it say “hello” right now. Say it over and over a few times. Now shout it inside! Can you hear yourself saying “hello” inside? Of course you can. There is a voice talking, and there is you who notices the voice talking. The problem is that it’s easy to notice the voice saying “hello,” but it’s difficult to see that no matter what the voice says, it is still just a voice talking and you listening. There is absolutely nothing that voice can say that is more you than anything else it says. When you’re having a good day, what are a few thoughts you might have about yourself? Write a few sentences describing positive thoughts you are capable of having about yourself. When you’re having a bad day, what are some thoughts you might have about yourself? Write about those thoughts too.
