Important Information for IONS Conference Attendees

We are so grateful to all of you who will be joining us at the IONS 18th International Conference. It is with your brilliance, wisdom, heart, and intention that we will weave a beautiful weekend together that will hopefully have lasting transformation and impact for all who participate.

This year we are excited to announce that we are doing a research project for the conference and invite you to participate! See more information below on how you can take the IONS Discovery Lab survey before you arrive onsite next week.

Your ticket information was emailed to you from upon payment. If you have questions regarding your ticket type, please check your email (or spam folder) for a confirmation from Eventbrite.

You do not need to print your ticket to check in on-site.


Come to the Registration Table to get your Conference badge, meal tickets, Pre-and Post-Conference registration, and Benefit Dinner tickets. Here is when we are open:

Wednesday, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Sunday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

IONS Discovery Lab is a global study on transformational practices looking at the relationship between interconnectedness, extended human capacities, and well-being. With cutting-edge online tasks and questionnaires, IONS has embarked on what will become the largest study ever of its kind.

Between now and before you arrive at the Conference, click the link below to complete the 20-minute IONS Discovery Lab survey. The online version of the study only works on computers (not smartphones, yet). When you are prompted to answer “What workshop are you attending?” Please choose “IONS Conference 2019.”

Pre-Conference starts on Thursday, July 18th, at 9:00 a.m.*
Beat the rush and check in for your pre-conference workshop starting on Wednesday July 17th, at 4:00 pm.

Kick-off to Main Conference starts on Thursday, July 18th, at 7:30 p.m.
For those who are local or staying at the hotel Thursday night, please join us for a fascinating conversation and informal kick-off of the conference.

Main Conference starts on Friday, July 19th at 7:00 a.m. and ends on Sunday, July 21st at 12:30 p.m.

*Please note the Pre-Conference, Benefit Dinner, and Post-Conference tickets are separate events and not included in the General Admission Conference ticket.

Meals: Boxed lunches will be provided for main conference attendees on Friday and Saturday. We have noted your dietary preferences and you will receive a meal ticket upon registration. A breakfast buffet will be provided for attendees of the morning Spotlight Talks only on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-Conference workshops do not include lunch, so please plan accordingly.

Benefit Dinner: If you have not already registered, we’d love for you to join us at the IONS Benefit Dinner on Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. There will be limited tickets available onsite, so we encourage you to register now.

Other Meals: The hotel has two restaurants onsite, Parcel 104 (open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and Bosc + Bartlett (open for lunch and dinner). The hotel also offers a full American breakfast and a breakfast buffet. There is a Starbucks located onsite, and many restaurants a short distance away. See the bottom of this email for a list of local restaurants and stores.

How to Download the App
  1. Download the Event Portal for Eventbrite app from the App Store or Google Play
  2. Make sure you accept notifications
  3. Enter the Event Code: ions
  4. You will receive your personal login code via email. If you do not receive it, please ask for it when you check-in for the conference.

NOTE: Your login is not necessary to access the majority of the site.


On-site self parking fee at hotel: $6 hourly, $15 daily. Street parking available per local ordinances.

From Mineta San Jose International Airport, take Interstate 101 North for 4 miles to Great America Parkway exit. Turn right onto Mission College Boulevard. The hotel is conveniently located on the right.

Oakland International Airport (OAK)
Estimated taxi fare $150 (one way), estimated Lyft/Uber $45 USD
Public transit takes 6+ hrs to hotel
Driving directions (40 min. no traffic, or 1 hr during rush hour):
Take Highway 880 South for 30 miles to Highway 237 West for 4 miles to Great America Parkway. Turn left onto Great America Pkwy. Turn left on Mission College Boulevard to hotel entrance.

San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
Estimated taxi fare $120 (one way), estimated Lyft/Uber $45 USD
Public transit takes 2.5 hrs to hotel (train & bus)
Driving directions (30 min. no traffic, or 55 min. during rush hour):
Take Interstate 101 South for 26 miles to the Great America Parkway exit, turn left onto Mission College Boulevard. The hotel is on the right.
