Through a powerful synthesis of biomedical science and ancient wisdom traditions, biochemist and “cellular shaman” Dr. Sondra Barrett offers practical strategies our cells have for healing and thriving. Discover how cells communicate, how thoughts and tensions influence cellular expression, and learn to access your own cell powers to make a difference in your life.
Barrett expands what we think we know about our cells, revealing how they offer invaluable skills and wisdom for inspiration, transformation and healing. Trillions of invisible cells create our physical body, contain the divine spark of life, and carry know-how to self-diagnose, repair, regulate, reproduce and restore. When we extrapolate what has been learned by science about the structure (cytoskeleton) of our cells, we find that it is a place where yoga, sound, energy, stretching, dancing, singing, and qigong, can have beneficial effects. We have a shapeshifting structure as part of our essential makeup.
Embracing the deep-rooted conflict between science and spirituality, Dr. Barrett offers new ideas that ancient traditions may, in fact, have roots in our cells and molecules. Can our inner cellular universe invoke spiritual wisdom and practical solutions for living well?
Beyond their biochemical abilities and knowledge for living, listening and thriving, our cells carry powerful intelligence to assist us in letting go, diminishing stress, and finding deeper meaning in life. By searching for the sacred within our cells we might well find the divine within ourselves.
- Learn how cells initiate healing and listen to every word we think

This program is based on Barrett’s new book Secrets of Your Cells.
Sondra Barrett completed a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Illinois, post-doctoral training in immunology at the University of California, and spearheaded cancer research and supportive care programs. An author and photographer who travels the world of inner space with her microscope, mind and heart, she offers practical integration of medical science with spirituality. In addition to Secrets of Your Cells, she has also written Wine’s Hidden Beauty (2009, Mystic Molecules Media), and produced an audio CD, Molecular Messengers of the Heart. www.sondrabarrett.com
