"All of the children are sacred gifts from the Creator to humanity. The prophets of our people speak of these new leaders as being born with all of the gifts of the ancestors." —Diane Longboat

This is an evening of ceremonial grounding and celebration of the sacred weaving and balance between young'ns and elders. Youth are our future. Elders hold the past and a larger picture of the present. Youth have the creativity and energy required for transformation. Elders often have the vision and the stories of what has gone before and of what is currently emerging in our communities, on the earth, and for the future generations of all life on the planet. We need to be able to listen deeply to each other across all divides, including the intergenerational one. As we attempt to reweave that sacred balance, we have much to learn from various Indigenous wisdom traditions. We are deeply honored to have Kahontakwas (Diane) Longboat as the facilitator for this session.

This program is being offered both Friday and Saturday evenings.

FILM - TRIUMPH OF THE DREAM
Host: Matthew Gilbert

Triumph of the Dream

Triumph of the Dream is a documentary that explores the human face of the Mars Exploration Rover mission that landed two rovers on Mars in 2004. The film is an odyssey into worlds normally hidden from view—an in-depth exploration of the 'inner-space' dynamics of the creative process. The 'outer-space' journey is an emotionally riveting real-life drama of a courageous team of engineers and scientists willing to dream the impossible.
