I am a recovering scientific materialist and a formerly (unconscious) naive realist. I have always had a passion for understanding the "True Nature of Reality" which led me to get degrees in Astronomy and Physics.

However, meditation, integral philosophy, evolutionary spirituality, and just being a part of the wonderful cultural context where subjective experience and consciousness is taken seriously has transformed my own worldview. For me personally, this has meant a hugely expanded view of what I consider "Reality" might mean or be all about.

Given my background, I am very happy to be a member of IONS and am interested in all 3 of IONS major research areas. Go IONS Go!
