About Ponsie
I grew up on a fruit farm near Cape Town. My main outward career has been geology based on undergrad studies at Rhodes University and doctoral sudues at McGill University. I have had minor careers in painting and photography. Superimposed on this has been a long-standing fascination with suffering and its remedy, the consequences of which is expressed in a book called '2nd Fire'. I live with Mary in an unfenced cottage by the sea. My six children are contentedly scattered.
