Don’t let the title fool you: This entertaining autobiography by one of the world’s most respected scientists in the field of consciousness studies will both amuse and impress you. Targ has a delightfully dry sense of humor, which he uses to leaven the more serious nature of his storied history and the many strange adventures it contains—too many to include in this short review. His keen intelligence is also in evidence as he recalls his experiences and studies of anomalous phenomena, from remote viewing and psychic spying to developing ESP machines. Targ has been visually handicapped since childhood, but that seems only to have sharpened his many other capacities. Foreword by Dr. Charles Tart.
