There is a big difference between simply becoming old and aging consciously—aging with intent. This workshop, for people in or approaching their senior years (50+) provides a dynamic experiential introduction to conscious aging and the types of inner work that are important on the path toward becoming a conscious elder.

Modern society’s view of retirement and aging is being challenged by new recognition of the rich potentials of the elder third of life. This life chapter, with its own dynamics of losses and gains, can be the pinnacle of one’s personal development and an opportunity for important service to the larger community. The key is to know the difference between simply becoming old and aging with intent.

Participants will learn:

  • Dynamics of conscious aging
  • Potentials for the elder years to be a time of growth, fulfillment, and service
  • The attitudes, fears, and images they carry about the aging process
  • Types of inner work that facilitate fully claiming and embodying one’s potential as an elder (e.g. life review, forgiveness, grief work, surrender, legacy work, deepening of spiritual connection, commitment to service)
  • The value of focusing on these issues before retirement age

During this weekend retreat, Ron helps us transform fears about aging into anticipation of the rich possibilities that await us if we prepare consciously. He shows how the elder third of our lives can be the pinnacle of our emotional and spiritual growth and development, and teaches us to age well during this time of profound cultural transition when the wisdom and gifts of elders are needed more than ever.

“I love the retreat setting, the land and the open friendly atmosphere. Excellent experience!”

“A beautiful workshop—enriching physically, spiritually and emotionally.“
