Join Baltimore IONS for an intriguing interview and discussion with Debbie Foch about the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI). Debbie has been an active volunteer with CSETI since 1998, working as the non-profit group's membership and trainings coordinator, and its website manager. She holds a Masters in Astronomy and a Bachelors in Space Sciences with a minor in physics. Debbie worked at NASA for over a decade providing launch and mission support for scientific satellites such as the Cosmic Background Explorer.
Last month we talked about NASA's work on the search for ET signals, its hunt for new planets and its leadership in the new field of astrobiology. This month, we will hear about CSETI's look at eyewitness testimony as well as experiments in the field leading them to conclude we are not alone.
CSETI's projects include training on methods to communicate with ETs, seeking application of ET technology to global problems, and release of government records on ET visitors. The group's Disclosure Project has received support from IONS founder, astronaut Edgar Mitchell who has publicly discussed his knowledge of what government insiders could reveal if they were allowed.
