I AM: THE DOCUMENTARY is the story of a successful Hollywood Director, Tom Shadyac, (LIAR LIAR, NUTTY PROFESSOR, BRUCE ALMIGHTY) who experienced a life threatening head injury, and radically examined his life. He set out, with a film crew of four, to visit some of today's great minds to try and find answers to two very basic questions: "What's wrong with our world?" And "What can we do about it?" He shares from his talks with authors, poets, teachers, religious leaders, and scientists (Howard Zinn, Lynn McTaggart, Desmond Tutu, Thom Harmann, Coleman Barks.). And in reflecting on his own life choices which at first seemed like the great American success story, he shares how he makes some of the changes himself that he sees as the answer to enjoying what is RIGHT about our world.
