Conscious Living Workshop
Tuesday, Apr 23, 2013 , 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Morning Presentation (9:30am – 12:30pm):
Physical Mediumship: Fantastic Phenomena in the Séance Room
So called Physical Mediumship is the most spectacular, and most contested form of mediumship. Endless controversies about its genuineness have surrounded modern spiritualism from its beginning circa 1850 through the 1950s. Even most parapsychologists assume that this classic and rare form of mediumship does not exist. Lucius has participated in more than 70 séances with six physical mediums and their circles, experiencing a great amount of nearly unbelievable phenomena. In this presentation he will describe levitations, flying objects, spirit lights, the materializations of hands and faces, as well as significant apports (the paranormal appearance of objects)— for example, the apport of a written message from LSD discoverer Albert Hofmann.
Afternoon Presentation (1:30pm – 5:00pm):
Albert Hofmann and his LSD – A Long Life and a Significant Discovery
Swiss chemist Albert Hofmann (1906-2008) discovered Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) at Sandoz in Basel on April 19, 1943, deeply changing his own life and those of millions of people around the world. In this personal and illustrated presentation, Werthmüller, close friend of Hofmann and co-author of his biography, highlights little known and fascinating episodes about the long and unique life of this famous researcher and mystic.
"It is my firm belief that future generations will see Albert Hofmann as one the most important figures of the twentieth century, a Promethean visionary who helped to chart a new trajectory for the evolution of the human species." ~ Stanislav Grof
Lucius Werthmüller, consciousness researcher and parapsychologist, was born 1958 in Basel, Switzerland. He has been president of the Basel Psi Association (the biggest organizer in the field of the paranormal and the spiritual in Switzerland) since 1991; is editor of the Psi-Info; and co-author of Albert Hofmann’s biography. He was project manager for eight years of the “Basel Psi-Days” (a congress on “border areas” of science worldwide), and is a founding board member of the Gaia Media Foundation.
