UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center (GGSC) is hosting this ground-breaking conference to explore the connections between mindfulness and compassion. Speakers, including best-selling author Jon Kabat-Zinn (keynote), will discuss how to apply cutting-edge science to the real world, focusing particularly on how mindfulness can deepen our relationships. Other presenters will include Kristin Neff, author of Self-Compassion; Paul Gilbert, founder of Compassion Focused Therapy; and Dacher Keltner, faculty director of the GGSC. Attendees will learn research-tested mindfulness and compassion practices, and hear from program leaders who have fostered mindfulness and compassion in schools, health care, and beyond.
