Conscious Living Workshop
Friday, Nov 15, 2013, 10:00 AM
Sunday, Nov 17, 2013, 1:30 PM (All times are local to the event.)
The wisdom of nature offers powerful tools of change and an elegant method of inviting the soul to be present and balanced. Explore the intersection of inner and outer landscapes in an integration of nature-based contemplative practices with inner realm explorations. This workshop is an immersion experience blending didactic teaching and personal exploration. Jan introduces techniques and concepts from earth-based wisdom traditions, including the traditional shamanic vision journey, as they may be applied within the context of personal growth, as well as psychotherapeutic and other healing modalities.
Ecopsychology is a movement toward repairing a deep wound of separation that has cost us severe damage in the environment and severe damage in the individual and collective psyche. Our sense of separation from one another and our natural environment festers a wound of mal-attachment and fosters disassociation, apathy, depression, fear, anxiety, and so on. This is an approach toward healing in which the human mind and body are viewed in their relationship to nature and the whole web of life. It follows that there is reciprocity between the natural processes of our world and the balanced psyche. Psychologically healthy people have a respectful and sustainable relationship with the natural world. – Jan Edl Stein
Listen to a Radio interview with Jan Edl Stein as she speaks about evolutionary spirituality; outdoor therapy: re-connecting with the healing Psyche of Nature; love: letting the Life Force flow; latest developments in eco-psychology; the cathartic power of beauty…
