(All times are local to the event.)
There is an extraordinary state of well-being which exists within each and every one of us. It is an authentic and enduring state of serenity, happiness, wisdom, and freedom. It is the crowning achievement of human development, gained through inner development and the expansion of consciousness. The ancient Greeks called this Eudaimonia. Today, we call this human flourishing.
Wise men and women from across various cultures and times have demonstrated this state of consciousness. Using a consistent set of practices, they journeyed to the center of their being and brought forth the full flowering of human potential.
Participants in this weekend retreat will gain a base of knowledge and a series of time-tested practices that promote integral health and human flourishing. The intensive, experiential sessions will draw upon traditional approaches to inner development, including study, reflection, meditation practice, mind training, and ongoing mentoring. Includes 2 FREE teleseminar follow-up sessions.
Course Text
Elliott Dacher, Aware, Awake, Alive: A Contemporary Guide to the Ancient Science of Integral Health and Human Flourishing, Paragon House, 2011.
My first medical education taught me about the outer biologic aspects of healing; it focused on disease, treatment, and longevity. My second medical education focuses on the inner aspects of health and healing. Here, the emphasis is on mind and spirit, on the quality of life rather than the biologic aspects of life. Together, they form the basis for a comprehensive and far-reaching understanding of health and healing. —Elliott Dacher
Follow-up Webinar Sessions
Also included are two FREE follow-up teleseminar meetings, TBA. Two 1.5-hour sessions to discuss, fine-tune, and support ongoing meditation and mind training practices.
