Join us for a weekend of immersion in films, walks in nature, freshly prepared meals, and lodging. Engage in discussions about entheogenic/visionary/psychedelic plants and substances. Learn about:

  • Their uses in indigenous shamanic societies for healing and connecting to the spirit world.
  • Their applications in the modern world for the treatment of addictions and amplification of psychotherapy.
  • Their potentials for consciousness-expanding insight and heightened creativity.

Among the films to be presented and discussed:

  • Entheogenesis – a multi-layered mosaic of interviews and micro-cosmic imagery connecting entheogenic creativity with tribal dance and contemporary rave culture. http://hopedance.org/community-media/videos/339
  • From Millbrook to Hollywood – a documentary about the making of a never-released Hollywood film about the Leary group’s theatrical psychedelic celebrations.
  • Grass – a high-spirited historical look, narrated by Woody Harrelson, about America’s love-hate relationship with the ancient beneficent herb marijuana. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xINwKnqSD6c
  • What if Cannabis Cured Cancer? – summarizes the remarkable research findings of recent years about the cancer-protective effects of novel compounds in marijuana. http://hopedance.org/community-media/videos/989
  • Shamans of the Amazon – an Australian couple journey to the Amazon, experience ayahuasca healing, witnessing the Brazilian land struggle and the global drug wars. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFz8TZo5y8I
