What is a worldview? How do worldviews inform what we know, and what we can know? How can we work effectively with people whose worldviews differ from our own? Why is conversation about the nature of worldviews vital to our global community?

The questions above are but a small sampling of the kinds of inquiries that are emerging as critical to learning in our increasingly interconnected world. These are also the kinds of questions at the heart of The Worldview Literacy Project™.

The Foundations of Worldview Literacy cultivates the skills and competencies today’s learners need to embody for success in the 21st Century. Integrating nearly 40 years of pioneering research on consciousness with emerging learning and teaching modalities, this instructor training provides participants with an immersive learning experience based on a curriculum designed for learners in high schools and junior colleges.

Useful to anyone who works with people holding diverse worldviews, we invite you to join us in learning how understanding and applying Worldview Literacy can enhance your life and work.

Participants can expect the following outcomes upon completion of the retreat:

  • Understand the core questions, key tenets, research methodology, integral philosophy and instructional design underlying the Worldview Literacy Project.
  • Gain a greater understanding of your own worldview and those of others.
  • Deepen collective understanding through dialogue with people who hold worldviews that differ from your own.
  • Gain facility with a variety of perceptual lenses, including intuition, direct experience and critical reflection.
  • Be able to present and facilitate the lessons contained in the Foundations of Worldview Literacy covered in this workshop.

Note: The heart of this workshop is the creation of a community of learners who will explore ways to work with the foundational course of the Worldview Literacy Project. The container we jointly create for learning is integral to achieving the outcomes of the program. Your presence and participation throughout the entire workshop are critical to everyone’s success. Please schedule your arrival and departure times accordingly.
