According to such healing traditions as Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic medicine, and native medicine, healing begins with connection to a higher power, spirit or the collective unconscious. In this experiential program, participants will be given tools to access this higher healing power and transform the way we take care of ourselves and others.

We will explore various realms of healing through heart-based work, shamanic journey and visioning. Participants will look into the role of the transpersonal model of psychology and how it relates to healing wisdom of the past and current modalities of healing. We will also focus on stress and how it can be a major obstruction to healing and the neuro-physiology of emotions and their effects on health issues and healing.

Participants will learn how to access this inner healing to increase their effectiveness and joy of practice, work, and caring for others. They will also create their own mission and vision statements to move forward in their lives in a way that serves them and those they are trying to care for.

You will learn to…

  • Utilize basic shamanic medicine modalities of guided imagery
  • Deepen and integrate intuition as a tool in your practice with patients
  • Understand the stress response to external stressors and their neuro-physiological basis
  • Evaluate the effects of stress in the work place and in relationships
  • Incorporate transpersonal experience into relevant life planning

This workshop is designed for health care practitioners, healers, and the general public.
