I am wondering who is working with healing and distance healing, which modalities (Reiki, Qi-Gong, Meditation, Prayer, Shamanism, etc), and how many volunteer for organizations through the internet. I have been a volunteer for an internet-based organization for over 8 years that sends healing requests out to the volunteers, who we in turn send energy, prayer, thoughts, etc. to those requesting healing for over 8 years. I have asked them to become a Noetic Partner, but they are unwilling, as they feel that the anonymity of the requestors would be violated. I feel that this detail could be taken care of if both healers and requestors waived the privacy fro the sake of science and a true scientific study which could both validate and improve the success rate.

Does anyone have any suggestion for organizations that are working cooperatively with the Institute of Noetic Sciences?

I am new to this group, as a child was always aware of the value of intuition and the higher level of communication. As a young woman
I had an innate love of the sciences (quantum physics) and those often de ja vous moments and ESP.

As part of my daily practice, participate in meditation, prayer and modalities of Qi-Gong which had value and benefit for energies and health benefits. .I do believe there is a wealth of benefit of prayer as we tap into our minds and send out intensions to those that need it in a Spiritual vein (whether we are Christian, Moslem, Jewish or other faiths). Often the 'measure of intention is there'. We often don't know the results until it is revealed later (this can be said for Reiki, Massage Therapy or Acupuncture for that matter). In order to harness the benefits of healing and energies, I do believe we have to use our minds (visual realization) to enhance the over all benefits of the same. Years ago I was at an Anglican (Episcopal) conference for healing, as I was merely an instrument of the intended energy, my hands were red hot with energy, whereas the rest of my body was 'normal temperature' which lasted for days after. I certainly concur with Zelia

In response to Namaste`,Zella. (I am speaking on a professional level now as a Lay Minister), one has to respect the privacy of individual anonymity this has to be based upon the individual rights and respect. Keeping in mind that 'some' will be more open to allowing their names to be put forward. One way around this (much like in media DVD and patient videos for medical purposes) is to have a declaration of release.
You could also approach IONS to see what they have to say in this matter and or other Church organizations you are working with, all have privacy policies in place now.. I do see the merits of furthering science as we try to understand the many benefits of Noetic Science, we can hope that people will be become aware though 'vision' and 'education and heightened awareness'. .

I don't have much proof ;-) would love to participate in a study if you're still interested!
I'm sure it would be quite easy - a permission and disclaimer form for patients to sign, a poster put up here and there, a cash incentive may attract people or at least it works in universities eg. £5 / $5 for participating.

Lots of people have probably done studies already.

Mazaru Emoto has done very interesting work in this area.

My own experience has revealed the following to me:

    I have used three techniques:

    1. Intercessionary Prayer - this is where I'm asking another being to heal somebody.

    2. Intercessionary Energy Transmission - I made that term up :-P This is where I send energy, I'm a bit insecure about the quality of the energy or I don't know the recipient's location etc. so I expect and believe an intermediary being or more than one being to direct it for me. Perhaps one being to send it to the person, and the guardian or angel working with that person receives the energy, or hears my thought/ intent and works with that person accordingly.

    3. Direct Personal Energy Transmission - (Made up again :-P) When I'm feeling confident, calm, centred and meditating / aura clearing regularly, I feel confident that I can transmit the energy directly to the desired person or source.

Belief. I feel it helps to believe that what you're doing works, but I don't think it's always necessary?
But perhaps the stronger you believe, and the more powerfully you visualise the healing, the more effective it will be?
Unless intervention occurs because we're working too hard in this area - spending too long etc.

    Any new thoughts? :-)

There is an esoteric teaching that says, energy follows thought. And as far as I can tell within my 30 years of working with energy in my daily life and spiritual healing practice, this is so. If you direct your thoughts to another person, regardless of where they are, the energy you are sending them, will reach them. The important thing to remember, is to have their permission, to be working for their highest good, and for that person to want to heal. Having someone become a partner if the Institute of Noetic Sciences is not necessary for a healing to take place.

I am new to this group.

Energy-healing is something I do for best part of my life, one-on-one, in groups and long-distance. In my experience with Meditation, NLP, Hypnosis, Neural Brian Sync, Shamanic work, Matrix Energetics, Munay-Ki rites and much more three important basic prerequisites need to be given.

    1) the belief that there are no limitations in the energy world, and there is no right or wrong IT JUST IS!

    2) to be able to shift into an alternate state to be the vessel, the tool, the wire, the channel for the devine energy/healing energy coming through. I personally belong to the group who is conscious about the process others don't know consciously the effects the energy is causing during the alternate state.
    3) to create a sacred space, where ever the work is done. In distance healing I give sometimes some instructions over the phone or by email.

Some people see the energy pattern, others feel them, hear words, instructions or like me just know. All has to do with awareness of the luminous body-field, the field/collectives subconscious the higher self/eighth Chakra and certainly with frequencies especially working with the quantum field and MatrixEnergetics.

I'm new to this group. Since your asking there is no distance that matters for healing. It does make validation a bit easier for the healer to be in proximity of the person being healed. I was trained 25 years ago through the Berkely Psychic institute in this and other things. I dont know whats going on there now. The politics were kind of strange then. I use a healing master on the astral plane. He connects to me and gives me feed back on the person. I dont do the healing he does I'm just there to learn. To use ones own energy (or perhaps its better to say clear pathways in the subject to let their own energy flow, but on your own without using a master) to heal can be risky. Though I have done it. And it has worked O.K. I guess I hav'nt givin myself permission to make that a full time thing. I digress. The energy is everywhere and everything, it neither comes or goes. It is really a matter of giving psychic advice on a spirit level to a person so they can let the energy flow. The human language is insufficient to explain these things. You interact your energy or your masters energy with the person in an attempt to explain how to realign and experience their own energy and potential. Sorta like a massage helps blood flow to a sore muscle. Hope that helps.

I think the energy coming from the earth is a believable theory, however i think it can come from inside a human being as well. Mustering of any energy requires focus and channeling requires intent.

  • RedDog Nov 19, 2010

Works best with intent? Have you heard of http://www.bengstonresearch.com/, Bill Bengston's research on curing cancer in mice?
He's done the double blind, peer reviewed studies to show that using "intent" does not really matter, as does the understanding of mixing energy like a cocktail. He is asking some interesting questions about why they can cure mice of cancer, using hands on healing from people that don't know what they are doing (they are not told the objective), and with non-believers. He's actually concluded that the healing works best if the channel does not believe in hands on healing.

Any idea's about what Bill has tapped into?

I work with Reiki, Qi-Gong, and that which I simply learned as healing energy. The energy comes from (or perhaps a more accurate way to express it is that the energy is Visualized to come from) the earth as grounding energy, the air as etheric energy, and I mix them within me, and then project it outwards. I have simplified the process, but the end result is channelled energy that is used to heal. The more one practces the energy exercises/meditation, the greater the frequency, much like a muscle. THE ENERGY GOES WHERE IT IS DIRECTED, AND WORKS BEST WHEN IT IS INTENDED

I do energy exercises learned from Qi-Gong, Spiritual studies, Chakra and Aura studies, and Reiki. In very simplified terms, the exercises ground the human body who will be channeling them, then take in the etheric energy, and mix the two energies within the channel's body, and through meditation and practice, redirect the healing energy towards the person requesting the healing. With practice, the frequency of the energy increases, and is measurable if one has access to the instruments which measure it. The same energy can be used in diagnostic distance scanning. Healers use different techniques to reach the same goal.

    Your sending energy?
    In what form?
Where is the energy coming from?
How does the energy know where to go?
Does frequency play into this at all?
