Biography

Lynn Montei is the Development Committee Chair of the IONS Board of Directors.

She enjoys creating space for meaningful dialogue in organizations and in the public realm as she facilitates their acting boldly, creatively, and strategically - congruent with their unique purpose, values, and aspirations. Noetic principles are at the core of her management consulting firm, Lynn Montei Associates. Its focus is organizational health and alignment, strategic planning, individual and team development, culture change and coaching. Lynn collaborated with Peter Block, Charlotte Roberts, and other organizational change pioneers while serving as Dean of The School for Leadership and Change, a school for teams leading change. Lynn’s work is to cultivate clarity and coherence which comes not from having been given answers, but from participants’ new ability to access what is available, but not obvious, within their system. Lynn creates the conditions to clear away that which conceals the potent wisdom and knowledge present and emergent in every situation. Formerly a nonprofit executive for an Illinois council of local governments, Lynn creates environments of trust, even in highly charged political or multi-sector environments, leading to breakthrough opportunities and outcomes. Her Bachelor of Science degree is in consumer economics and management from Southern Illinois University. Lynn’s pioneering spirit inspires her service to IONS including Circle membership, Development Committee, and Member Council. In the last year, she facilitated the new Member Council’s strategic plan and co-hosted IONS’ Living Deeply Workshop in Chicago. Among other enjoyments, Lynn loves spending time in nature and with family and friends, learning, mentoring youth, cooking, and spiritual practice.
